We are currently looking to fill 3 x cable jointer vacancies. Ideal candidates will have previous experience of cable jointing within a telecoms network.
We have works available within the Openreach network, however any PIA experience would be an advantage.
As a cable jointer you will play a crucial role in our company's success by ensuring the efficient installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fibre optic cables in commercial environments. The successful candidate will possess expertise in fibre optic technology and demonstrate a high level of precision in splicing and termination techniques.
The job role requires you to perform fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, and termination of various types of fibre optic connectors, work with different fibre optic cables, including single-mode and multi-mode fibres, utilise OTDRs, power meters, and other testing equipment to conduct thorough testing of fibre optic cables and document splicing and testing results accurately for project records and client documentation.
The ideal candidate should hold the below accreditation’s or the equivalent. Where necessary training can be arranged:
Working Hours - 40 Hours per week (including evenings and weekends where required)
Salary - £37,000 - £39,000 per annum
